Emantras’s new mantra: iPhone apps and games

Even as people went ape over Apple apps, Emantras took the lead by drafting a blueprint of top class iPhone apps and games. ‘Rafter’, a physics puzzle, is a runaway success at the app store topping the charts. It was listed at the app store in Jan 2010. Inspired by Da Vinci’s sketches, with Open feint leader boards, Rafter involves spherical and square-shaped objects striking a red mine causing it to explode. Rafter involves timing, precision and an understanding of general physics.

Rafter became an instant hit with the legion of bloggers and regular gamers and soon broke into the top 100 in different countries. It is a game which is widely appreciated and positively reviewed by almost all the leading game reviewers. Bolstered by aggressive word of mouth, it went on to become one of the most talked about iPhone games in the month of Feb–March 2010.

This foray into iPhone apps was only natural given Emantras strong expertise in game-based learning, animation and technology. The foundation was laid with the successful launch of Punflay, a portal for iPhone/iTouch apps and web games and with the ‘debut’ of an engaging adventure game called ‘Adams trouble lite’. Adams is an adventurous, but unfortunate chap who gets stuck in a well/maze with toxic fluids rising up to turn him into an organic puddle. It’s a race against time to save him.

This fun game was an ‘App-store’ success with thousands downloaded in the very first week. It is a testimony to Emantras capabilities that Adams Trouble required minimal marketing and promotions.

Punflay is collection of paid and free apps, both a hit in the app store followed by ‘Lucky me’ and ‘Dress Jinjee’. Punflay also has an active presence on Twitter, where it conducts frequent giveaways and contests. The future looks exciting at Punflay games with new and interesting lineup of apps for all age groups.
