Emantras revels this year with awards for Mobl21 and Take Me There: Egypt
The Education Division of the Software & Information Industry Association (SIIA) showcased some of the leading growth companies in the education technology market and named Mobl21 as the “Most Innovative Education Product or Service”, as part of the Innovation Incubator Program at its annual Ed Tech Industry Summit, held May 24, 2010, in San Francisco.
Mobl21 is a mobile learning platform is designed for educators to create learning content quickly and effectively. Learners can create their own study material and publishers can create content that will complement formal text and online courseware. Within an enterprise setting, the platform delivers significant value in driving a “micro-learning” strategy to enhance performance.

The Children’s Museum of Indianapolis was awarded, the 2010 IMA Outstanding Achievement Award by the Interactive Media Council. The award was given in the Museum category for the design of Take Me There: Egypt. The Outstanding Achievement Award recognizes the “highest standards of excellence in website design and development and honors individuals and organizations for their achievement.”
Take Me There: Egypt, the newest permanent exhibit at The Children’s Museum of Indianapolis is an immersive experience for its visitors and features a variety of hands-on activities, and family learning opportunities. Visitors can play games and virtually explore modern day Egypt. Visitors get the feel of a virtual travel and learning about the life, geography and culture of Egypt. This fosters an understanding that is far beyond learning from textbooks.
One of the online games in the exhibit, “Explore Virtual Egypt” was developed by Emantras, Inc. The objective of this game is to give the visitors an idea of the language and currency of Egypt. We have used the context of a visit to the Cairo market. The visitor can interact with people, visit shops and make purchases. This way they get to use the understanding of the language and currency and also become familiar with the culture and history of Egypt.
It was an honor for Emantras to receive these awards as recognition of team work and to know that the work is considered as world-class examples of how the Internet can be used effectively for learning!
