Our production process involves a lot of research and analysis, brainstorming, development and reviews to create a quality learning solution. Our course design is always focused on the learner’s needs and we strive to provide a good all-round learning experience. Below is a case study done on one of our clients:
Client: A virtual school in the U.S
The requirement was to create an engaging e-learning program on physical education for grades 6 – 8 of a virtual school. The big question at the start was “How can online physical education be engaging?” “Shouldn’t the students be performing activities in the real world to acquire the strength and skills rather than learning theory?” It was a big challenge to retain the attention of the target audience as children in that age group usually do not have the patience to sit through a course. We also had a very tight deadline to meet.
We started with a thorough research and analysis on the subject. We outlined the modules in association with the client and then came up with an approach that was a perfect blend of interactive online learning and interesting offline activities. The students would first learn the skills through relevant interactive simulations online, then put their knowledge to practice through interesting activities offline and finally present a report of what they did into the online learning system. This way, they can enjoy their guided learning sessions and the teachers of the virtual school can also track their progress and help them improve.
The prototype was a test of our skills to create engaging digital content. Our initial challenge was to write suitable content to map to the requirements of the state standards. This task was taken up by a team of subject matter experts. The design team brainstormed for ideas for attention grabbers, content and interactions. We customized the look and feel of the learning environment for each grade thus giving each of them a specific identity. The produced content was reviewed and revised continuously until we got the desired result. From then on, the team worked diligently to create one outstanding lesson after another and completed the project within the specified deadline. Detailed feedback from our client helped in enhancing the content and learning experience.
Throughout the project, the client’s team supported us very well and we successfully delivered an e-learning course for physical education. The client appreciated our interaction design and animations and the efforts we put in to complete this project on-time.
