The Challenge
A leading medical products business that deals with the development and commercialization of products that are extremely useful to surgeons approached Emantras for a complex solution. They wanted us to develop a solution that would help the doctors to communicate over the web easily using touch screen kiosks and share their knowledge and critical information from any place.

The Solution
The Emantras team analyzed the scope of work involved and came up with an application in the form of an interactive Flash based browser that allows doctors to manage surgeries, receive online technical and clinical support, conduct and receive training, manage inventory and streamline the different processes. The solution was developed in the form of an interactive online kiosk application and it uses Macromedia technologies like Flash Communications server and Flash Remoting. ASP is the programming language with MS Access as the back end tool.

A media center that enables different modes of communication like chat and video enabled web conferencing was included. The application allowed the storage and maintenance of a database related to the different surgery and associated procedures. The solution also included an administration tool by which the doctors can have a secure log in and record a procedure, view archived procedures and also post their views to a discussion board. The search option provided would help the doctor retrieve the archived data by different categories of keywords. The main features of the application are
